PASSED! The Parks Bond includes funds for an all-inclusive playground at Muldoon Town Square Park, Muldoon Road at DeBarr – at the location planned for Muldoon Farmers Market starting in 2017. A destination playground will be a big draw for the farmers market and the park.
Muldoon Farmers Market Organizational Meeting 7 p.m. Monday, April 27, at the American Legion Post 29, at 1467 Muldoon Road, Anchorage, AK 99504. Open to the public. Visitors will need to ring the doorbell to gain entry.
Northeast and Scenic Foothills Community Councils will host a series of public discussions regarding the future community park (“Muldoon Town Square Park”) on the old Alaska Greenhouse site at Muldoon Road and DeBarr. The official planning process with Parks & Recreation will begin in the fall.
In the meantime, we can explore ideas and options from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. the third Thursday of each month at the Muldoon Boys and Girls Club (Muldoon Community Center), 1251 Muldoon Road. The next meeting is April 16th. Continue reading
