Chanshtnu Muldoon Park named, Phase 2 funded

It’s official! The Anchorage Assembly approved a name – Chanshtnu Muldoon Park – for our community park July 25, 2017. Chanshtnu (pronounced CHANSH-nu), meaning “grass creek,” is the Dena’ina word for Chester Creek, which winds through the park at 1301 Muldoon Road.

The U.S. Department of the Interior and the National Park Service announced a grant of $750,000 to the city toward development of Phase 2 of the park last week in July. Map: Continue reading
